Body cleansing is really nothing new.  People have been fasting since ancient times.  It's more important now because the amount of toxins our bodies get exposed to on a daily basis has increased.  This article will give suggestions on how you can go about ridding your body of toxins.

1.  Drink more water.  Water is a good way to flush out your system.  Our body is 98% water.  So, not only will you be flushing your system of toxins, but you'll also be hydrating your body.

2.  Avoid caffeine.  I know it's difficult to go without caffeine for any period of time.  However, while you're doing this cleanse, it's a good idea to go without it so it doesn't interfere with the process.  Instead of caffeine, consider green tea.

3.  Exercise.  When you exercise, you sweat.  Sweating is another way the body relieves toxins.

4.  Eat more raw fruits and veggies.  Be sure to eat organic fruits and vegetables when they are available.

5.  Whenever possible, stay away from foods with artificial ingredients.  Eating foods which include these will introduce more toxins into your system.

6.  You should also try to fast for one day.  Only water and juice should be consumed during this day.  This will allow the body to rid itself of toxins even better since it will have a chance to eliminate the toxins which have accumulated over time.

Toxins are bad for your overall health.  You should spend some time each month doing something to rid your body of them.  Make sure you have a health professional who you can consult with before you start a body cleansing process.  This person can also help in case an unexpected effect happens when you're doing your body cleanse.
