The right yoga apparel helps you look good and feel good when you are working out.
Yoga clothes are often skimpy and form-fitting to allow range of movement during yoga postures. Also, in inverted (upside down) poses, there's a possibility of yoga apparel like loose T-shirts sliding up over your head and giving someone a view of your tummy. Loose yoga shorts can also be revealing.
However, not everyone is comfortable wearing skin-tight yoga clothes. There are a variety of modest yoga styles you can try if you don't yet have that rock-hard yoga body you're shooting for. I especially like the yoga-pants that are loose at the ankle. They can be very flattering.
For women, Danskin yoga clothes are an excellent choice.

Another reason many people opt for the synthetic fabrics and "less is more" style of yoga apparel is that a yoga workout can be hot. You'll work up a sweat during the best of times, but during Bikram yoga classes, they actually heat up the room to over 100 degrees to help you get your sweat going!
The key thing to remember when choosing yoga clothes is to find something you're comfortable with. A few nice items that don't ride up, cut in, or otherwise impede your free-flowing movement will serve you better than a whole variety of cheap but uncomfortable clothes.
